Paul Avard invited people to come to a resurrect the West Midlands Regional Group. He is the chair of an sfbt counselling and training charity (a not for profit group called CHANGE). He invited any West Midland (or elsewhere) based sf practitioners to join a West Midlands Regional Group which CHANGE is happy to host and facilitate, and resurrect. It now meets upstairs at The Craven Arms, on the corner of Upper Gough Street and Blucher Street, Birmingham B1 1QU (just behind the The MailBox) – additionally this is only a relatively short walk from New Street station.
The best hopes of the group were based around opportunities for sf networking, the sharing of good practice and skills development – whilst not losing sight of the opportunity for the imbibing of something thirst-quenching and access to great FOOD.
Additionally, CHANGE would like to offer members of the group access to our certified and approved CPD programme – usually 2 – 3hrs on a Saturday morning in our offices across the road from the Craven Arms. Sadly we have to levy a small charge to cover admin and room costs, however, when I tell you that amongst our presenters at these CPD sessions will be members of the Birmingham MA team, you’ll have an idea of the quality of CPD on offer.
The Regional Group started on Wednesday 16th November and new members are very welcome whether you live or work near Birmingham. Further details from: paul.avard at tiscali.co.uk
The groups meets at The Craven Arms, B1 1QU Birmingham from 1900 – 2100
