After a career in teaching, teacher education and research, I made quite a big change and studied for a counselling qualification. This led, subsequently, to a much closer study of the Solution-Focused approach. Now I work in a University with student clients and with clients from external organistions. I believe that my study of the Solution-Focused approach had enhanced my professional practice and I am also impressed by the way certain areas of the University, in which I work, are looking for and expecting the approach to enhance their practice also.
